Description:

Natural Resource Technology assisted a purchaser with the acquisition of various industrial properties in Wisconsin, Iowa, Michigan and Texas. These projects included conducting Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs) and compliance audits of the facilities to evaluate baseline conditions and make recommendations for correcting the deficiencies. The ESA and audit findings were used to formulate scopes of work for Phase II assessments that have included subsurface investigation of the properties as well as surveys of the building interiors for heavy metals, PCBs and other contaminants, including radioactive materials.

Natural Resource Technology reviewed reports of assessment, investigation and remediation prepared by the various sellers’ consultants to project future corrective action costs and schedules, and to ensure that the sellers would be diligent in completing corrective actions in a timely manner. Natural Resource Technology’s role also included providing direction and oversight of the work performed by the seller’s consultants, and to provide technical support with respect to the adequacy of the in-situ and ex-situ remedial actions proposed by the seller to meet remedial objectives within time frames acceptable to the client.
